THIS SITE IS DEDICATED IN MEMORY OF OUR SWEET BOY:
WELCOME TO ARC ~ HOW ARC CAME ABOUT ...........
This site is dedicated to the education about animals and rescue work.
All of the information and links on this site are related to animals in
some way. I started this site on my family site when Bitsy came into
our lives. He was 1 day old then, on June 10, 2004. His Mom rejected
him as the runt of the litter and he also died in my hand, but between
my neighbor and myself, we managed to bring him back. She handed
him to me and said, here take him, Pam and save his life. Rick and
I did just that. We bottle fed him from that day on along with helping
Bitsy wore diapers as he became a bit older and was potty trained in short time, but he would have to wear pants for the rest of his life because he dribbled whenever he played in the house and left some discoloring on my carpets here and there, so that is how we solved that.
He was prone to injuries....and a bundle of high energy.............which is not a good combination.
He did zoomies in the yard and house all the time, banging into walls and furniture and falling off the bed (or missing it entirely). I still don't know how he missed killing himself racing up and down the deck stairs. He did manage to break his leg once and we never knew about it until I had him at his Orthopedic on another issue and I decided to have *all* his legs X-rays, just so we would have a comparison. That was when we discoverd it has been broken ! <sigh>
Taking care of Bitsy was what I did, faithfully exercising him once or twice a day for 30 minutes or so each time...... in the yard or in the house until it became clear that this had to begin to change due to his constant injuries.
Bitsy was with us until May 23, 2006 at which time we spent a wonderful last day with him and then we took him to say goodbye. His grave and memorial pages can be seen, along with his story............all here After he was gone.............I went into deep mourning...........during that time I could not look at the well over 250 photos we took of his last day with us......until last month. I now have all but the last two sets up on the site. I can't seem to get myself to look at the last two sets yet! All his links to his photos are here in BITSY'S DIRECTORY
During the time while I was mourning my babies death............ARC was born! I started to re-do
and separate out the information that I had on the family site and that was connected to Bitsy and
his pages. I moved it to a new site and later named it ARC (Animal Resources Central)
ARC went www this past month and I am still playing catch up with the design which is slowly evolving and ever changing. It will always be an on upward going project.
I also started ARC GOOGLE which is an all breed/all species forum list on Google where we post all sorts of items related to animals, including rescue posts of pets in need of help, lost and found pets, food information, vaccine and other medical information, as well as chatting about out pets and sharing photos. You can join the list by clicking on ARC GOOGLE and signing up.
If you specifically have Poodles............and are interested in a poodle orientated list.............I also own POODLES GALORE on Google, which is poodles only...and geared towards rescue as well.
Please click on the links to your left in the navigation or any of the other links to begin your journey into the site.......and enjoy : )
Scattered around the pages of the site, you will see various photos of dogs and cats. These are real pets of those that belong to my Google lists and other lists I am on.
If you would like to submit something you have written, for the site...you can send it to me, Pamela Myers at my EMAIL ADDRESS
2007 We now have a Forum called Animals Speak Please come join us and chat about your pets, rescue, foods and much more. We have photo gallery and there is also a Wildlife area :)
